YUME TWINS BOX UNBOXING

At the end of may one of my biggest dream came true, I finally went to Japan for the first time!
It was an amazing and surreal experience, since I came home my goal is to find a way to go back there as soon as possible!
To pretend I'm still there I decided to try a subscription box made in Japan, and after browsing a lot of them I decided to get the Yume Twins Box.
I based my decision on a few reasons:

• worldwide shipping and cheap shipping costs, most subscription boxes charge you tons of money for shipping costs and they then become way too expensive
• this box was created by Tokyo Treat team, which is a very well known subscription box all about japanese snacks, so I felt more comfortable trusting them
• they promise you to fill the box with high quality gadgets from famous japanese brands such as Sanrio and Sailor Moon

The first box I got it's the august box.

The packaging itself is very nice, light lilac with a lot of cute illustrations.

Inside you can find 8-10 kawaii items, a brochure with all the gadgets of the box and some info about a certain theme about Japan.

This august box theme was Lovable Animals, and the contents matches the theme pretty well.

A fine maggio si è avverato uno dei miei sogni più grandi, finalmente sono riuscita ad andare in Giappone!

Inutile dire che è stata un'esperienza surreale e fantastica, da quando sono tornata non faccio altro che pensare a come fare per ripartire!

Quindi per sentirmi in qualche modo più vicina al Giappone ho deciso di provare una subscription box made in Japan e tra le tante opzioni ho scelto Yume Twins.
I motivi principali che mi hanno spinto a sceglierla sono stati:

• la spedizione economica in tutto il mondo, tantissime box purtroppo non spediscono in Italia oppure hanno dei costi di spedizione altissimi, quindi iscriversi diventa un vero e proprio salasso mensile
• il fatto che questa box fosse ideata dagli stessi di Tokyo Treat, una subscription box tutta dedicata agli snacks giapponesi molto conosciuta e ben recensita sul web
• la promessa di ricevere oggetti kawaii di qualità e di marchi famosi, come Sanrio e Sailor Moon

La prima box che mi è arrivata è quella di agosto.

La scatola in se' è davvero adorabile, di un color lilla chiaro con sopra il logo e alcuni disegni molto carini.

All'interno si trovano di solito da 8 a 10 oggetti, oltre ad un opuscolo in cui è descritto il contenuto e anche alcune curiosità sul Giappone.

Il tema della box di agosto era Lovable Animals, ed infatti il contenuto rispecchia in pieno il tema scelto.

• NEKO ATSUME Memo Pad

Neko Atsume is a game app that got pretty much everyone in the world trying to collect cats with the craziest toys and food.
Obviously I downloaded it and I still play it trying to get rare cats that are really a pain to find!
This note pad is really cute and I will use it for sure.

Neko Atsume è un app di gioco che ha fatto impazzire un po' tutto il mondo, io ovviamente l'ho scaricata e ci gioco tutt'ora.
Si tratta di collezionare adorabili gatti da viziare con gli oggetti più disparati, ci sono anche gatti rari più difficili da trovare.
Questo block notes è davvero carino e lo userò sicuramente.

•  AMUSE Alpacasso Plush

Alpacas plushies are huge in Japan, and this little guy is definitively the best item in this august box.

You will find them in every arcade, there is no specific reason but everyone loves them.

I was so lucky to get the rainbow one which to me is the cutest thing ever!

Questo peluche arcobaleno è sicuramente il pezzo forte della Yume Twins Box, a Tokyo si vedono ovunque, in tutte le sala giochi, in tutti i colori e misure, gli Alpaca sono semplicemente adorabili.

Sono stata felicissima di trovarlo nella box e tra le tre opzioni la mia preferita era proprio quella arcobaleno!

•  SHINADA Fluffy Animal Plush

This super soft pig plushie it's very well made and well-finished.

It has a more natural vibe with the neutral colors and the fluffy fur.

You could find either a pig, a frog, a bear, a sheep, a bunny or a lamb.

Questo morbidissimo plushie a forma di porcellino è davvero curato in tutti i dettagli. 

Da quanto ho letto nella brochure si ispira ad un gusto più naturale, con colori tenui e aspetto un po' arruffato, davvero carino. 

Oltre al porcellino si potevano trovare peluches a forma di rana, coniglio, orso, pecora e agnellino.

•  GUDETAMA Limp Mascot

Gudetama the lazy egg is one of the latest Sanrio characters and it's one of the most popular.
It comes in various shapes and egg types and it has the biggest collection of gadgets you could imagine of, it's simply adorable.
In this case it comes in a classic eggs container box, the egg white is so squishy and the little lazy yolk it's right in the middle, so kawaii!

Gudetama the lazy egg è uno degli ultimi personaggi ideati da Sanrio ed in poco tempo è diventato sicuramente uno dei più popolari.
Viene rappresentato in tanti modi e in una varietà infinita di gadgets, io lo trovo davvero divertente.
In questo caso è contenuto nella tipica confezione per uova, l'albume trasparente è super morbido e all'interno troviamo il tuorlo con la sua classica espressione scocciata.

•  RE-MENT MARE Sweets Mascot

These surprise boxes are very popular in Japan, you can find them in any anime and comics shop, if you go to Akihabara you will definitively understand what I mean.
This box is made by Re-Ment which is known for creating little cute miniatures and is inspired by a popular Japanese TV show about Mare, a girl who wants to become a baker.
This is not my favorite item, mainly because I don't know much about the show and I've never seen it.

Queste scatoline con all'interno oggetti a sorpresa si trovano davvero ovunque in Giappone, basta fare un salto al quartiere otaku per eccellenza Akihabara e ne verrete sommersi!
In questo caso Re_Ment, famosa per creare oggetti a forma di dolci in miniatura, si è ispirata ad una nota serie TV giapponese dedicata a Mare, una ragazza che vuole imparare a fare la pasticciera.
Devo ammettere che tra i tre dolcetti possibili questo è sicuramente quello che mi piaceva meno, probabilmente anche perchè non conosco la serie tv.

•  POMPOMPURIN letter set

This adorable little Pompompurin letter set by Sanrio may seem useless in a world where handwriting is just a memory of the past.
I do really enjoy handwriting letters or messages to special friends and my hubby so I think it's very nice and I love how detailed it is with those little stickers to close each envelope.

Questo graziosissimo set da lettera di Pompompurin, amatissimo personaggio Sanrio, a molti può sembrare inutile, visto che ormai scrivere una lettera a mano è impensabile. Invece io lo trovo adorabile, magari per scrivere ad un'amica speciale oppure al vostro partner. Il kit contiene anche dei carinissimi adesivi per sigillare le buste.

•  POMPOMPURIN Pen

The Pompompurin pen completes the letter set, you could also find Hello Kitty or Gudetama ones.

La penna di Pompompurin completa il set da lettere, le alternative erano Hello Kitty o Gudetama.

•  AIROU and MERAROU Towel

In Japan is very common carrying a little hand cloth or face towel with you, mainly during the hot summer to get rid of the sweat but also to dry the hands after washing them at work or in a public toilet.

This limited edition towel it's inspired by two characters by Monster Hunter, Airou and Merarou.

I'm not a huge Monster Hunter fan, but I do really like this towel and I find it very useful.

In Giappone è assolutamente comune portarsi dietro un piccolo asciugamano, soprattutto nei mesi estivi per asciugarsi dal sudore, ma anche nel resto dell'anno per asciugarsi le mani.

Questo in edizione limitata riprende due personaggi di Monster Hunter, Airou e Merarou.

Io non sono una grande fan di Monster Hunter, però questo asciugamano è utile e carinissimo.

Overall I really like this box, my favorite items are the Alpaca plushie and the Gudetama egg, so kawaii!
All of the items are nice quality, even though I hope to find some Sailor Moon gadget and even more Sanrio stuff in the next box, I will keep you updated! 

Nel complesso la box mi è piaciuta molto, sicuramente i miei oggetti kawaii preferiti sono l'Alpaca e Gudetama, davvero kawaii!
Trovo che la qualità del contenuto della box sia buona, anche se spero di trovare qualcosa di Sailor Moon e di altri personaggi Sanrio nella prossima box, vi farò sapere!
